Bio
In today's complex world of political and economic agendas, Mayday Radio offers up their sonic opinion. Influenced by bands like U2, Coldplay and Kings of Leon, their music blazes its way through doubt, fear, love & inspiration. Fueled by pop rhythms & grunge hooks, the songs are an electrical rainstorm of sound that ebb & flow between controlled intensity and unbridled passion. Tackling issues such as inequality, social injustice and self-doubt, the group takes an honest look at the discrepancies between who we are as people, and who we strive to be.
Band History
The creative pulse of Mayday Radio is Jeff Ting, a classically trained pianist who balanced his childhood days practicing Beethoven sonatas and wailing on his Fender Stratocaster. After relocating to New York, Ting met Dimitri Moderbacher, an Austrian-born jack-of-all-trades musician. The two then began jamming in Moderbacher's makeshift Brooklyn studio [his basement]. They were sooned joined by lead guitarist, Hara Garacci, and drummer, Anthony Taddeo. The result is Mayday Radio.
